Mr Al-Maiyah is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working in Surrey, South London. He has experience in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery and treats elective and traumatic conditions. He also has a large revision practice and regularly sees patients requiring second opinions. His practice covers all aspects of foot and ankle disorders including the diagnosis and treatment (both operative and non-operative). His areas of expertise are as follows: Bunion surgery Minimally invasive surgery Mortons neuroma and ganglions Severe foot and ankle deformities Flat feet and high arch feet Tendons disorders - tendinitis or tendinopathy Heel pain and plantar fasciitis Sports injuries - ankle ligaments injuries and fractures. Diabetic foot disorders He also has a special interest in complex trauma and limb reconstruction and is fellowship-trained in limb reconstruction, bone infection, and the use of circular frames. Mr. Al-Maiyah gained his MB ChB from Al-Mustansirya University and underwent higher surgical training in the North of England. He undertook over two years of fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery as well as trauma/limb reconstruction surgery, in The UK and Australia. He has presented at many national and international conferences and has also contributed to the scientific literature in his field. Additionally, he undertakes medico-legal work and acts as an expert witness in various trauma and orthopaedic cases.
